1712ssd.jpgThis news already been presented on many websites, but anyway i am going to join as well – so, on upcoming in January CES 2008 exhibition (Consumer Electronics Show), Intel is going to demonstrate its version of SSD (Solid-state drive) – Z-P140 PATA. The capacities from 2gb up to 16gb. Very light on energy consumption, very small size. The interface is surprisingly – parallel ATA. It is positioned for application in mobile compact devices. Another assumption – this SSD can be acting as additional device in modern motherboards (with SATA as primary interface) for example to boot OS? Anyway, no doubt Intel has its own plans for this SSD. Conclusion – Intel is going to SSD market ?
